After breakfast, visit Rabat, Morocco’s political capital, to see the Royal Palace, Hassan Tower, Mohamed V Mausoleum, and Oudaya Kasbah. Discover Fes el-Bali, Morocco’s spiritual and intellectual heart. Visit the Royal Palace, Bou Inania Madrasa, Tanneries, Nejjarine Fountain, and Al-Qarawiyyin University, the world’s oldest. After lunch, enjoy free time to explore the vibrant souks and artisan workshops.
Depart Fes early for a scenic drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, “Morocco’s Switzerland,” and Azrou’s Cedar Forest, home to Barbary monkeys. After lunch in Midelt, continue through the Ziz Valley to reach Erfoud and then Merzouga. Ride camels into the Erg Chebbi dunes to catch the sunset and spend the night at a luxury desert camp with Berber music and dinner under the stars.
Wake early for a stunning sunrise over the dunes, then return to Merzouga for breakfast and a shower. Travel through Rissani and Tinghir, stopping to explore the dramatic Todra Gorges with its towering canyon walls. Continue along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs to Ouarzazate, passing Dades Valley and Skoura Oasis.
After breakfast, visit the Atlas Film Studios and the Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate. Continue to the legendary Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its role in films like Gladiator and Game of Thrones. We had the most wonderful and memorable time, largely thanks to Youness. He was the best ever and we are so appreciative. Posted on GrandTour746743Verified A wonderful taste of Morocco and the desert It was a magical trip. Our guide Mohammed had many years of experience plus he had genuine love for his job and his native country. This combined, provided a very rich 3 days where we learned and experienced Morocco. The scenery was amazing from the Atlas Mountains to the Saharra desert. From the Berber villages to the vast canyons and gorges. The food along the way was local and delicious - we never went hungry. As we spent a lot of time in the car (which was comfortable and luxurious - a Mecedes van), Mohammed was very open to stopping when we wanted to (or needed to!). The accommodations were really top notch highlighted by the tent in the desert. The experience in the desert, traveling on camel to where we slept, the scenery, the massive dunes, the sky full of stars, the chill at night, and the hospitality of the local people made it an experience that I will repeat. I will give this experience my highest recommendation.Posted on Henry OVerified Best trip ever We had the absolute best time. I cannot stress how good our driver Youness was. He was so helpful and made the trip incredible, putting up with all of us. He let us spend extra time in places and the trip was really flexible with what we wanted. The itinerary was well planned and each day had the perfect amount of stuff. The car was very spacious and Youness let us play whatever we wanted (sorry Youness haha). There were some things like the itinerary stating that we would be riding camels on both the evening and following morning in Merzouga, however we only got to ride them in the evening. Overall an incredible experience and will remember it forever!!Posted on Hamma HVerified One day trip to Agafay The trip was very well organised. It was also easy communicating with the team. The driver was on time and we enjoy it the day pass in Agafay. I highly recommend it! We enjoyed it!
