Your adventure begins at 7:30 AM with pickup from your Marrakech hotel or riad. Journey across the High Atlas Mountains through the winding Tizi n’Tichka Pass, enjoying stops for panoramic photos and visits to traditional Berber villages. Arrive at the legendary Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, Morocco’s most famous fortress and a UNESCO World Heritage Site featured in over 20 Hollywood films. After exploring the site and enjoying lunch, continue through Ouarzazate, known for its film studios and the Kasbah of Taourirt, before driving along the scenic Road of a Thousand Kasbahs to reach Dades Valley for dinner and an overnight stay in a charming riad.
After breakfast, head through the Dades Valley to admire its unique rock formations known as the Monkey Fingers. Continue toward Tinghir and the Todra Valley, where you’ll walk beneath towering 300-meter-high cliffs, a paradise for nature lovers and photographers. After lunch in Rissani, you’ll reach Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara. Here, your camel guide awaits to lead you on a camel trek through the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi. As the sun sets, enjoy the breathtaking desert views before arriving at your luxury Berber camp. Savor a traditional Moroccan dinner, join local nomads for live drumming, and sleep under a canopy of stars in your private tent.
Rise early to witness an unforgettable sunrise over the Sahara dunes. After breakfast and a refreshing shower at the camp, ride your camel back to Merzouga village, where your driver awaits. Travel north through the Ziz Valley, dotted with palm groves and fortified kasbahs. Stop in Midelt for lunch, then continue toward the Cedar Forest of Azrou, home to playful Barbary macaques. Drive through Ifrane, known as “Little Switzerland” for its alpine charm, before arriving in Fes for dinner and an overnight stay in a luxury riad.
After breakfast, embark on a half-day guided tour of Fes, exploring its UNESCO-listed medina, the Al Quaraouiyine Mosque, Bou Inania Madrasa, tanneries, and artisan quarters. Learn about the city’s history, spirituality, and craftsmanship from your official local guide. After lunch in the medina, journey north through the Rif Mountains toward the enchanting Blue City of Chefchaouen. Upon arrival, your driver will drop you off at your accommodation, marking the end of your unforgettable Moroccan journey.
The total driving time from Marrakech to Merzouga is approximately 9 hours, including scenic stops, meals, and sightseeing along the way. To make the journey comfortable, we divide it over two days, with an overnight stay in Dades Valley.

He was the best ever and we are so appreciative. Posted on GrandTour746743Verified A wonderful taste of Morocco and the desert It was a magical trip. Our guide Mohammed had many years of experience plus he had genuine love for his job and his native country. This combined, provided a very rich 3 days where we learned and experienced Morocco. The scenery was amazing from the Atlas Mountains to the Saharra desert. From the Berber villages to the vast canyons and gorges. The food along the way was local and delicious - we never went hungry. As we spent a lot of time in the car (which was comfortable and luxurious - a Mecedes van), Mohammed was very open to stopping when we wanted to (or needed to!). The accommodations were really top notch highlighted by the tent in the desert. The experience in the desert, traveling on camel to where we slept, the scenery, the massive dunes, the sky full of stars, the chill at night, and the hospitality of the local people made it an experience that I will repeat. I will give this experience my highest recommendation.Posted on Henry OVerified Best trip ever We had the absolute best time. I cannot stress how good our driver Youness was. He was so helpful and made the trip incredible, putting up with all of us. He let us spend extra time in places and the trip was really flexible with what we wanted. The itinerary was well planned and each day had the perfect amount of stuff. The car was very spacious and Youness let us play whatever we wanted (sorry Youness haha). There were some things like the itinerary stating that we would be riding camels on both the evening and following morning in Merzouga, however we only got to ride them in the evening. Overall an incredible experience and will remember it forever!!Posted on Hamma HVerified One day trip to Agafay The trip was very well organised. It was also easy communicating with the team. The driver was on time and we enjoy it the day pass in Agafay. I highly recommend it! We enjoyed it!
