Your adventure begins with an early morning pickup from your Marrakech hotel. Drive through the High Atlas Mountains and cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, pausing for panoramic views and Berber village visits.
Visit the Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a UNESCO-listed ksar and one of Morocco’s cinematic treasures. After lunch, explore the Atlas Film Studios and the Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate before continuing to Skoura Palm Grove, where dinner and your first night await.
After breakfast, travel through the Valley of Roses, famous for its rosewater cooperatives and spring festival. Stop to meet nomad families living in caves before heading to Dades Gorges, known for its dramatic red rock formations. Continue to Tinghir and walk through the spectacular Todra Gorges, a favorite spot for climbers and photographers. Dinner and overnight stay in a kasbah hotel nestled near the gorge.
After breakfast, take a morning stroll through Todra’s palm groves before heading toward Erfoud, passing Touroug and El-Jarf villages. Stop at a fossil workshop to learn about local crafts before reaching Merzouga, gateway to the Sahara Desert. Here, camels await for a magical sunset trek across the dunes of Erg Chebbi. Arrive at your luxury desert camp, enjoy a traditional dinner, and join in Berber drumming around a campfire beneath the starlit desert sky.
Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, then return by camel for breakfast and a shower at the hotel. Continue through Rissani, where you can visit its colorful market, then travel across the Draa Valley via Alnif, N’kob, and Agdz, stopping for lunch and photos. Visit the Kasbah of Tamnougalt before arriving in Ouarzazate for dinner and your overnight stay.
After breakfast, explore Taourirt Kasbah once more and visit the Kasbah of Telouet, the former seat of Morocco’s powerful Glaoui family. Enjoy lunch at a mountain restaurant before crossing back over the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, descending toward Marrakech, where your desert adventure concludes with drop-off at your accommodation.
Yes, you can modify the itinerary, adding or reducing days, upgrading hotels, or starting/ending in Fes instead of Marrakech.
Erg Chebbi (Merzouga) is more accessible with taller dunes, while Erg Chigaga is wilder and more remote — both offer unforgettable desert experiences.

Transfern var i tid, vi fick stanna på ställen för att köpa mat och vår förare körde väldigt försiktigt och bra! Vår upplevelse var 10/10, vi var 10 personer och det var väldigt bekväm och rymlig transfer vi fick!Posted on GrandTour746743Verified A wonderful taste of Morocco and the desert It was a magical trip. Our guide Mohammed had many years of experience plus he had genuine love for his job and his native country. This combined, provided a very rich 3 days where we learned and experienced Morocco. The scenery was amazing from the Atlas Mountains to the Saharra desert. From the Berber villages to the vast canyons and gorges. The food along the way was local and delicious - we never went hungry. As we spent a lot of time in the car (which was comfortable and luxurious - a Mecedes van), Mohammed was very open to stopping when we wanted to (or needed to!). The accommodations were really top notch highlighted by the tent in the desert. The experience in the desert, traveling on camel to where we slept, the scenery, the massive dunes, the sky full of stars, the chill at night, and the hospitality of the local people made it an experience that I will repeat. I will give this experience my highest recommendation.Posted on Henry OVerified Best trip ever We had the absolute best time. I cannot stress how good our driver Youness was. He was so helpful and made the trip incredible, putting up with all of us. He let us spend extra time in places and the trip was really flexible with what we wanted. The itinerary was well planned and each day had the perfect amount of stuff. The car was very spacious and Youness let us play whatever we wanted (sorry Youness haha). There were some things like the itinerary stating that we would be riding camels on both the evening and following morning in Merzouga, however we only got to ride them in the evening. Overall an incredible experience and will remember it forever!!Posted on Hamma HVerified One day trip to Agafay The trip was very well organised. It was also easy communicating with the team. The driver was on time and we enjoy it the day pass in Agafay. I highly recommend it! We enjoyed it!
